Two jackets. One zipper. One of the most collectible names in Japanese fashion history.
A vintage Kansai Yamamoto reversible souvenir jacket — black velvet on one side, red and white quilted satin on the other. The velvet side carries an embroidered Alaska scene: a walrus perched on an ice floe, orange stars scattered overhead, snow-capped mountains behind, and ALASKA arcing above it all in white chain stitch. The satin side is bold red with white-contrast sleeves and red-and-white striped ribbing — clean, graphic, and completely different in mood. Kansai Yamamoto dressed David Bowie, and this jacket addressed Alaska. Both are legitimate achievements.
